ERA strengthens engineering team with new appointment

ERA, one of the UK’s leading home security and fenestration component providers, has further expanded its in-house engineering capabilities with the appointment of a new Engineering Project Manager.

Chartered Mechanical Engineer, Stephen Wright, will be responsible for managing the execution of new product development, in addition to existing engineering projects, to ensure they are delivered efficiently and to the highest possible standard.

With over 34 years’ experience in automotive component engineering, Stephen joins ERA from Magna Closures, where he held the position of Senior Platform Engineer and Project Manager.

Following Matthew King’s appointment as Head of Engineering at the beginning of the year, Stephen’s new role demonstrates ERA’s continued commitment to ensuring it consistently meets the individual needs of its customers throughout the fenestration, distribution, specification and consumer markets.

Commenting on his appointment, Stephen said: “This is an exciting time to join ERA as it continues to develop and enhance its design and manufacturing capabilities to meet the needs of its diverse customer base.

“There is a comprehensive range of new innovations launching throughout the year across both hardware and smart security, and I’m looking forward to working closely with the engineering and design teams to ensure their successful implementation and delivery.”

As part of his new role, Stephen will be working in partnership with Matthew across all areas of the business, including ERA’s UKAS accredited test house, to ensure every product delivers first class performance and durability.
