Our purpose-built ERA Expert Training Centre, at our Willenhall office in the West Midlands, offers a comprehensive programme of workshops and tailored training courses.
The centre caters for both classroom-style and practical learning which, when combined, provide an enhanced learning experience. Courses can be tailored to any skill level to benefit people who are new to the industry or those who are experienced in their sector.
The classroom is well-equipped with a projector, handheld tablets and a TV to provide a varied learning style. Product samples allow delegates to explore features and benefits first hand, and door and window displays show the components working in situ.
In the workshop area, which is equipped with all relevant tools, a work bench and equipment, is where delegates can get practical, hands-on experience working with the products – fitting them, adjusting them and picking up handy tips and tricks along the way.
The Training Centre is situated alongside our UKAS accredited test facility, which is fully equipped to test windows and doors to the latest industry standards. Our experienced engineers can either provide an indicative report or a full UKAS accredited report, depending on your requirements. Meetings and conferences can also be held at our facilities with the training room able to comfortably seat up to 14 people in a boardroom setting, or more in a theatre style – a spacious environment with the workshop facilities close at hand.
The majority of courses run at the Training Centre are customer-specific, tailored to meet our delegates’ exact requirements and often combining elements from a number of courses for optimum output.
In addition to running customer-specific courses, we also offers those that range from general introductions to the product range to those that focus on a specific product in more detail.
To perfectly tailor a customer-specific course, we ask for a pre-training questionnaire to be completed, which asks: which door and window products should be the main focus; any additional focus areas, such as testing, installation or products with increased security levels; and the objectives for the course. It is then over to our ERA Expert training team to tailor the course in advance of the day.
Our ‘themed’ courses take a specific subject matter and we take you through how our products can help. With today’s focus on legislation and standards we have also designed some useful courses to help break down the jargon into simple steps so that you can achieve the required criteria.
A variety of courses covering Doors, Casement Windows and VS Windows including solutions for PVCu and Composite/Timber. In addition, we offer specific courses that focus on the features and benefits of a variety of new products.
For fabricators and installers, courses are available that cover glazing and security techniques in addition to health and safety in the workplace.
Courses vary in length, some run for just 1 or 2 hours and others will require a full day, and refreshments are provided with lunch being included where applicable. Every course includes use of the facilities, and the use of the workshop for hands-on training.
We understand that the training course is just the beginning so we provide information packs to take away at the end of each session, and you have the option of refresher courses or additional supplementary courses personalised to your requirements. We appreciate that any time spent away from the workplace is something not undertaken lightly. We’re confident that your team will gain invaluable knowledge and skills from our team of experts and that attending one of our training courses will be time well spent and extremely beneficial in the future
